1854. No internal date. Dated to circa 1835 by Vinson (1868) and to 1835 by Cabaton (1912), on unstated grounds (presumably palaeographical and material analysis arguments). Not after 1854, since part of the collection of Édouard Ariel (1818-1854), bequested in 1855 to the Société Asiatique, Paris (Rosny 1868).
Tamilnadu.

Présentation du contenu

The Attuvaitāṉupavam, “Experience of Non-Duality” (Sanskrit advaita + anubhava), is a philosophical text, of which there seems to exist no printed edition yet.

According to the preface (U2b, f1r) and the postface (U2b, f20r), the author is Rāmakavi, disciple of Civarāmakavi (Sanskrit Śivarāmakavi), himself disciple of Navamakāleṭcumi Nāraciṅkatēcikar (Sanskrit Navamahālakṣmī Nārasiṃhadeśika).

In the present manuscript the work consists of 128 stanzas.The text in U2 is complete. We find successively:
